TICKLING OR ROUGH HOUSING It is wonderful fun to rough house, tickle and play with a
child. It is important that the child or the parent is able, for whatever
reason, to give the TIME OUT hand signal and that the signal is
immediately honored. The
activity stops. Sometimes a
child gets too wound up, giggles so hard he or she can’t breathe, or the
activity gets otherwise out of hand; the ability to call off the game
brings safety to that arena.
