MESSAGE FROM SANDY:

I have been teaching parenting for twenty years.

My two birth children are now over 28 years old. I am not a psychologist, and I have had 38 years of research/training in  the field of child behavior. Some of that research was a part of co-creating an international program for the schools called Project Self-Esteem. As a consultant to the schools, I have worked on several projects to help our “at risk” students. I teach parenting, communications, anger management and self-esteem skills.

When a parent feels less powerful than a child, that parent will resort to some form of anger or violence: screaming, threatening, hitting, etc. My intent in creating this web site, is to share some of the strategies I have learned for effectively working with children. If a parent is able to get immediate assistance, it is my hope that the amount of anger in that home will decrease. To that idea, I have dedicated the time, money, wisdom and heart it took to create this website.

Children are our most precious resource. If we are to stop the violence, the erosion of morals, the decay of integrity, it will come from our homes. Children must be taught how to live successfully in the world. In order to do so, parents need to put as their number one priority, raising their children. Children require time, attention and most of all love. They need boundaries and guidance. They need to learn how to be safe in the world, how to make appropriate choices, how to take responsibility for their choices and how to live in love.

I have written a parenting book, created audio and CD programs and have an adult self-esteem manual. Those items are for sale. I offer the information on this website--at no cost to you--to assist you with your most difficult job of parenting. Take what is worth keeping, and with the breath of kindness, blow the rest away.

The information in this website will not address every single parenting question. It has been designed to give a parent the tools to meet the majority of their needs. As a parent, you will learn how to adapt the use of “boredom” to every parenting challenge that arises. This is not band-aid parenting; it is a philosophy of working with children and a training in specific strategies that work.

For the sake of your heart, for the sake of our world, make raising your children your number one priority. You are the architect of a human being’s life! There are no re-runs in this vital game of nurturing and teaching our children.

I wish you God speed.
